Meet Roscoe

In August of 2007, our 14 year old Rottweiler died. A couple of years earlier, our 11 year old Rott/Dobie mix had died. We decided we needed some time after they both died before we got a new dog.

Well, just recently my son started asking if he could get a dog for Christmas. We told him it would have to be a small dog because "mamma wants a boxer" and we don't want two big dogs in the house.

We've been looking on-line at breeders, humane societies and rescue sites, not sure where we were going to get dogs from. I originally wanted to get a puppy, but then I came across the local boxer rescue site. They had an adoption day Saturday and we went. Later that afternoon, they brought Roscoe to our house for a "home visit" and he hasn't left. All we need to do now is finalize the adoption. It hasn't taken him long to make himself right at home.

OMG, I didn't even read...just looked at pix! I love a Boxer. Mine are 12 and 8, best dogs I ever had! So great, congrats. Oh, training, it's a must DO if you've never had a Boxer before - they're too smart for thier own good for sure.

Awwww, what a sweet baby! I'm so glad he has found his forever home.

We lost our Nick (Golden Retreiver) last July. He was a rescue from the GR Rescue out here. We adopted him when he was 12 1/2 and lost him 20 months later. Brought us immense happiness in his short time with us.

We adopted Achilles (13 at the time) and Milo (9 1/2 at the time) from the same rescue in August 2007. They're still with us and are our daily saving graces.

What a wonderful thing to have done for Roscoe this Christmas season, and what wonders he'll bring to your family from here on.

Wags and Kisses to him from his fur-bros!

Oh Roscoe's not going anywhere...never ever. He knows when he has a good thing going. Congratulations on your adoption. I keep wavering about taking JJ to live with me...but I don't have a yard and that little stinker loves the outdoors almost as much as the couch.
What kind of dog is Dalton getting? Don't let little dogs fool you. JJ rules the roost when he's around big dogs. It's funny to watch him walk the aisles at PetSmart, and the large dogs follow behind. If JJ stops...they stop. If only he knew he was smaller than the others. I don't have the heart to tell him.

Have many years of happiness with Roscoe. Will he be up to running with you? Going along side your bike rides?

And yes your visit/donation to Marey's site site counts as a referral from me. Thank you for always supporting these kids. I have been following Cory's CB site. I wanted to bring him something when he was at S&W in Temple, but he seems to have everything. If you know of any special snack, treat or item he likes let me know. I go to two different doctors on the hospital campus.
